mount freedom cabins
brae
Brae, the first hideaway cabin we built, enjoys beautiful winter light and is rich with rustic charm.
the brae cabin
With sweeping views of the Mull of Kintyre and the Isle of Arran, Brae enjoys wonderful winter light and dazzling summer sunsets. From the veranda-covered outdoor bathtub, endless sea and star views are yours for the taking as you bathe in perfect peace, surrounded by forest. Admire the breath-taking scenery from an Adirondack chair, gathered round the warmth of an outdoor fireplace. From the comfort of indoors, you can light the log burner, stretch out on the spacious leather sofa or king size bed, and still admire the sea.
A stay at Brae would not be complete without a spin on its namesake: the nearby Electric Brae, Dunure’s mind-bending gravity hill which is just a short drive from the cabin. Whether by car or foot, the beauty of Ayrshire is yours to explore. Let the coastal path near the cabin lead you on scenic hikes, or stray further afield to Isle of Arran, kayaking from Dunure harbour, or trips to ancient Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
Brae is the closest cabin to the parking area.

Every detail was planned very well and these lodges have turned out perfect!! The finish on the building is of a very high standard, the hosts have then decorated the lodge beautifully- which adds to the experience of staying here. The view is spectacular, even when the weather isn’t the best!!
Both Angus and Tracy were fantastic hosts ensuring our stay was perfect from start to finish. It’s very hard writing a review that captures our experience and just how beautiful the lodge and surrounding area is. 11/10 recommend Mount FreedomLiam
